There are limitless opportunities to share our bounty with others. Sometimes known as “paying it forward” or “‘random acts of kindness,” July 15 is National Give Something Away Day and was created in 2015 to encourage generosity.

Manistee County Library has some ideas to help share time and talents with the community.

• Children can create little gifts to give away using found items in the house and yard with “Backyard Crafts” by Greta Speechley.

In an effort to keep things out of landfills and oceans, this book provides instructions and lists to teach readers to consume less, share more and save money.
